I'm Jim Furry. I retired from the FBI in 2005 and began my writing career. My biography, "Fidelity Bravery & Integrity," was published in 2018, and I have sold almost 400 copies. My newest book, "Love's Peculiar Nature," was inspired by a friend who invited my wife and I to a Romance Writer's Association workshop. It is five short stories that I believe the reader will enjoy.
I have attended the Southeastern Writers Association (SWA) conference for several years, and I currently serve on its Board of Directors. This is a photo of the President of SWA, Amy Wethington, presenting me a first-place short story award for "The Train Wreck," which is one of the stories included in Love's Peculiar Nature."
If you order one of my books, I will send you a signed copy. Please ensure you include the address where you want it shipped. If you order both, you will only incur one shipping charge. Thank you.
Love is a very strong emotion. "Love's Peculiar Nature" captures some of those emotions, although not as one might expect. An excerpt begins, "I had all the reasons in the world to feel this way. I loved her, always. I couldn't even count the number of ways I loved her. I was shattered when Sarah called, telling me she couldn't take it anymore. I believed with all my heart she loved me too.
